Dr. Van Camp offers Liposuction of all body areas as well as the chin, cheeks, jowls and neck. This is an office-based method using only local anesthesia (tumescent method). This approach provides complete patient comfort without the added risks and expense of general anesthesia. (Mild sedation may be provided if the patient prefers, but this is not necessary for comfort during the procedure.)The liposuction is then performed using the thinnest of micro-cannulas to remove the unwanted fat. (Klein technique). This less-invasive method provides for a rapid and easier recovery. Most patients can return to work and activity as soon as the very next day. No incisions or sutures are needed since the fat is removed through tiny (1 mm.) access sites. Using micro-cannulas also ensures the smoothest and most aesthetic results possible from the procedure.
