Dr. Tina B. West has years of experience in laser treatment and facial and body contouring. She serves on the National Advisory panels for the companies which distribute Restylane (Medicis) and Botox (Allergan). The West Institute is a National Training Center, educating physicians in advanced Botox and Restylane injection techniques. Dr. Tina B. The West Institute, founded and directed by Dr. Tina West is a leading center for cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery. Dr. Tina B. West and her experienced staff provide the latest, most effective treatment options to maintain the health and appearance of your body and skin.

A graduate of the Wake Forest University's Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Dr. West completed a residency in internal medicine and a clinical research fellow in dermatology at Washington D.C.’s Washington Hospital Center. She was then appointed to chief resident of the hospital's Department of Dermatology.

Dr. West is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She is a fellow of three reputable professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Additionally, she is a member of the American Medical Association and served as Vice Chairperson of the Dermatology Foundation from 1996 to 1999.

An accomplished lecturer and author, Dr. West has been featured in many scholarly journals and books on a variety of topics, including laser resurfacing, scar revision, hyperpigmentation treatment, and treatment of wrinkles. She also participated in phase III FDA trials for the approval of Botox for cosmetic use, and her practice was selected as a national training center for physician instruction in Botox treatment.

Dr. West also offers laser hair removal, restylane and other fillers, photo rejuvenation, sclerotherapy, botox treatment, tumescent liposuction under local anesthesia, and lipo transfer.
