Dr Crabtree specializes in Liposuction Surgery.
Dr. Crabtree has performed thousands of Liposuction procedures since 1984, and is now using what he feels is the most "state of the art" form of Liposuction known as Tumescent Liposuction under local anesthesia. He has now taken this concept to a new level by combining the SMARTLIPO LASER with tumescent liposuction. This new form of laser bodysculpting has recently been approved by the FDA. Employed in Europe for several years, this technique utilizes a laser to liquify the fat prior to suctioning. This allows a much more gentle and efficient extraction with extremely small canulas. The heat generated from the laser also causes the underlying collagen to shrink and tighten. This is especially good for those areas where the skin may be more difficult to tighten after surgery. Smartlipo also seems to make the post-operative period much easier with most individuals able to return to their normal activities within 24-48 hours including exercise. This is all accomplished totally under local anesthesia.
