Dr N Fred Eaglstein, DO, Medical Director founded the Dermatology Center in 1986, now known as the Dermatology and Laser Center. After practicing medical and surgical dermatology for many years, he saw a great need for his patients with cosmetic concerns and problems. Consequently, he became very involved in learning the newest and most effective procedures in cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Eaglstein has been performing cosmetic laser procedures since 1992. He served as Courtesy Clinical Assistant Professor, the University of Florida, College of Medicine, Family Practice Department, Jacksonville for 12 years. Dr. Eaglstein is a graduate of Emory University and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed a rotating internship at the Public Health Service Hospital in Staten Island, New York. He did his dermatology residency at the University of Tennessee and a dermatology fellowship in immunodermatolgy at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. He is the Section Chief of Dermatology at Orange Park Medical Center, past President of the Jacksonville Dermatology Society and current Board member of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons.
