Dr. Sandy Milgraum received his medical degree from the University of Western Australia. After residencies in surgery, Pediatrics and Internal medicine he completed a residency in dermatology at The University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dr. Milgraum is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a world renowned dermatologic laser surgeon. He was the innovator of many cosmetic and medical laser procedures such as laser tattoo and hair removal, skin resurfacing for wrinkles and laser therapy for varicose veins, birthmarks and vitilgo.

He is one of a handful of board certified Adult and Pediatric Dermatologists in the New York Metropolitan area, thus possessing unique talents in laser treatments of frightened children and the most discerning cosmetic patient.

Laser Liposuction Surgery

Liposuction surgery is a technique that removes fat deposits in specific areas of the body. Modern liposuction surgery was invented by a dermatologist in the 1980s. Although there are numerous liposuction techniques, Dr Milgraum performs liposuction only under local anesthesia. This is called tumescent liposuction with micro cannulae.

Unlike the typical Plastic Surgery approach, patients are fully conscious during this painless procedure and often speak on the cell phone while the doctor removes the fat with tiny fine instruments. There is no general anesthesia or large suction tubes. This minimizes the risk of complications. Patients return to work in 2-3 days compared too much longer recuperation with liposuction under anesthesia.

Our most common liposuction surgery procedures are thigh liposuction, abdominal or stomach liposuction, facial liposuction, chin liposuction, neck liposuction.
