Eat Healthily!
It’s no secret resorts offer amazing food, and who can deny the fresh seafood found near beach side get-aways.  However, it’s important to keep in mind what is in the food you eat - after all, liposuction can’t be maintained with an addiction to fast food! Banquet foods offered at hotels are generally so tasty because they are rich in fat, meaning one has to really keep in mind the effect if they stray from their diet. Even items such as fresh fish can often be defeating if they are smothered in butter. An easy trick to avoid putting on pounds is to consume food in moderation, that way even if a treat is heavy, you won’t eat too much.

Additionally, a well-balanced diet is a key to success for any fitness plan, this includes eating plenty of fruits and vegetables. The nutrients which are essential to a healthy body are easy to overlook while on the go, a vacation being no exception.  When you leave your room for the morning, grab an apple or banana for later.  Or perhaps consider a fruit smoothie once in a while on the beach, instead of a margarita.  Getting the fiber from fruits and vegetables will make you feel fuller, helping one to not overeat by mistake while dining.

 

Exercise When you Can!
Exercise can be tough, but being in the beautiful locations offered by vacations should be incentive to get moving and explore.  To keep of the pounds off, a nice jog each morning will go a long way, or you could try out the hotel’s weight room.  Keep an eye out for exciting trails or similar activities that will serve as motivation to be active. Biking, for instance, is a common activity for vacation areas and it’s a great way to see the sights.

 

Nobody gets a great body without putting in effort. In a certain way, the effort invested and the sacrifices made make the reward so much sweeter.
