Give Your Nose a New Look With Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Do you want to reshape your nose? Perhaps you are tired of that bump or slight crookedness, but you really don’t need a complete nose job. Non-surgical rhinoplasty may be able to give you the nose you really want.

An attractive nose can come in many sizes and shapes. Generally, an attractive nose sites proportionally in the middle third of a person’s face. Also, this attractive nose is neither dominant or minimal in its facial placement.

There are several common appearance problems of the nose including:

• Bridge indentations or bumps
• Crookedness
• Pinched, bulbous, or “bum shaped” tips
• Wide nostrils
• Columellas (nasal septum) that are retracted or hang too low

This non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure uses cosmetic injectable fillers such as Artefill, Juvederm, Restylane, or Radiesse to correct these problems and create a new look. These injectable fillers can smooth out indentations and bumps, as well as lift the angle of the tip of the nose.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is an augmentation procedure and it cannot reduce the size of your nose. Nor can it correct any function problems, such as breathing difficulties. If you do not need to resolve big problems, just correct some crookedness or unevenness, you are a good candidate for this procedure.

The Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Procedure

The entire procedure is relatively simple and fast. A topical anesthetic is applied to help make this a pain-free procedure. The filler is injected via a thin hypodermic needle under the skin during the procedure that will normally take between 10 to 30 minutes.

There is no down time with this procedure, so you will be able to return to your normal activities immediately. You may experience some minor redness, bruising or swelling, which can be concealed easily with a little make up. There are other possible complications that come with any cosmetic procedures such as infections or other reactions, but these are very rare.

The results of non-surgical rhinoplasty can be seen immediately. They are often subtle so others may not actually be able to determine the changes. Also, the filler materials may start to breakdown after a year or so, so you may need to return for a touch up to maintain the appearance.
